Many of my projects deal with challenging if not controversial subjects. I cannot ignore my own mental states when witnessing a social condition or a simple everyday object with a particular sensibility. Of necessity, these mental states are infused back into each project that I undertake. I am most interested in exploring ideas and putting them into some material form, from which i can discard that which is unnecessary.  Bookmaking has provided for me boundless opportunities to explore my ideas.  I am particularly interested in exploring the narrative possibilities offered by the book incorporating photographs as well other media possibilities.  I have sourced my own photographs, as well as reclaimed and those taken by others in the context of projects i have devised to explore the creative process.  One measure of a work’s success is that it is accessible to my audience. I endeavor to provide a ‘point-of-departure’ for others to discover something about themselves.
